The Sun Can't Shine Everyday..

BUT its shining today!!! Its a beautiful day in the uptown Saint John neighborhood. I live across from a community center (yeah, sketccchyyy...) and there is this one guy, Ahmed, who is standing out there every morning when I take the dog out for a walk at 7 or 7:30. Recently Ahmed has started talking to me and coming across the street. I suppose you could call us friends. I know his life story and he knows what I feel like telling him at 7am in the morning haha. Its kind of nice. At first I was a bit sketched out that this toothless man with a strong accent was walking across the street and telling me all about his life and asking me questions about mine but then I eased up a little and figured he is probably just a nice guy. hopefully... just keep in mind that if you don't here from me for a few days..his name is ahmed and hangs out at the community center in the mornings...haha

So today, my lovely roommate/cousin are having a bonding/hangout day because we both managed to get the day off! :) Maybe go shopping? Horray for Walmart and Homesense! One thing I love about living in Saint John is that we have an Old Navy, soon a Costco, and a Homesense.. you can always find whatever you need in this city!

So as mentioned yesterday, I had an exam this morning. It went well I think.. We shall see we shall see.. I have definitely failed ethics..and I find myself wondering what that says about myself..hmm...I prefer not to think about it! haha :)

So I was hanging out/studying with a friend last night and the exam was on computer stuff and the internet blah blah blah and we started talking and it occured to us that, we are old. Think about it guys, we remember a time before the internet was even INVENTED. We remember when the bugs bunny and tweety show was good animation, the days when where's waldo was good entertainment. Carmen San Diego was a fun game, Dick Tracy was a great gangster show with cool special effects (the fire when the guns were shot haha), when gangster were still gangsters, not gangstas, and when if we wanted to talk to someone we would call them from our house phone to theirs. These were the good ol' days guys, and I know that makes me sound SO OLD but because of growing up at the time we did, I think we are better for it. Kids these days (yes, I just said "kids these days") don't understand how to do things without texting, or the internet. Have probably never used an Encyclopedia (no, wikipedia doesn't count) and have no people skills what so ever. Some of these kids I see are growing up way too fast, dressing like britney spears at the age of 10, having sex at 13 and having a baby at 16. Remember when dressing like Britney meant wearing a cute little top, showing a little belly and some nice jeans that covered your whole ass? I guess what I'm trying to say is, we know where its at, and what it means to be born in the 80s!
Off to enjoy the sunshine, I hope you all do the same! Don't let work or exams distract you from a beautiful day! haha
